Relatives

The Osborn family (including my Mum Ella, and her siblings Vera, Una, Mavis, Elsie, and Cliff) had a scrub property - "Sturt View" - out from Yaninee, and alongside them were their cousins the Parkers. This is an assortment I found in Dad's collection of prints.

(Scrub clearing at Osborn's 'Sturt View' property 1920s)

("1st chaff cut from hay on Sturt View Farm,
Cliff, Mother & Ella" - written by Cliff?)
("Yaninee" added in different hand)
("V Lewis" added in pencil in another different hand)
("Carting wheat c1930" - Ella's note)

Venus Bay 1931. Cliff, Vera, Ella, Audrey, & Wally
(Jack wrote this - first three are Osborns, Audrey ?,
and their cousin Wally Parker)

(Elsie Osborn, probably with assorted nieces and
nephews, taken at the Jack Edmonds farm at Pordia, c1936)

(Osborns - standing, Una, Grandma, Ella, seated Elsie,
with same three kids as above, also at Pordia)

(Probably Venus Bay, Elsie Osborn 4th from left,
possibly Ella Osborn at top)

Happy Valley
(This is Elsie Osborn and friend Jim Noyce,
during the war. Note the gas producer)

(This taken during the war, with Elsie at far right,
me on lap at far left, elder brother Murray in middle.
Probably up near the Millbrook reservoir)

(Grandma Osborn, with Murray, not sure where)

(Grandma Osborn on the farm at Yaninee)

(Another picnic stop, probably by Millbrook reservoir,
lady in fur collar could be Ella, but two of the kids are
my brother Murray and me. Large lady could be
Grandma Edmonds, or maybe Grandma Osborn)

(Mavis Osborn [Rowley] and first child Shirley,
looks like it's at Venus Bay)

(L to R - Wally Parker, Ella Osborn, Mavis Osborn,
??, Elsie Osborn, ??, Cliff Osborn?)

(Six of the seven Osborn girls, taken later in life,
but not sure where. L to R - Una [Stringer],
Elsie [Maddox], Marg [Jeisman], Vera [Lewis],
Mavis [Rowley], Cora [Redden].

("Vera, Rodney" - written in unknown hand)
Rod Lewis was their eldest, c1935, not sure where)

(Vera Osborn as a young woman, with some of
her mum's cabbages?)

(Fred Pyle & Flo Dawson, old farmhouse behind
1918-1927? - Ella)
(Fred Pyle married one of Grandad Edmonds' sisters,
and Flo was his eldest sister)

(Jack Pyle - 1st cousin - Ella)
(Presume this is one of Fred Pyle's sons)

1931 Venus Bay
("Miss E Osborne, from W A Parker"
is on the back with a kids ink print block)

Grandma North & Daryl
(This is Ray Edmonds's mother-in-law, holding Ray
and Jo's eldest, on the North farm at Mt Damper)

Colleen & Daryl
(This is Ray's sister-in-law, on North farm Mt Damper)
